Job Description
Locum Ready is recruiting a Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide short term cover for a well run GP practice in Uxbridge.
Key Responsibilities
• Run minor illness clinics and contribute to same day triage as required
• Undertake history taking, assessment and treatment with appropriate follow up
• Prescribe within competence and align prescribing decisions with current guidance
• Recognise red flags and refer or escalate to the appropriate clinician promptly
• Support chronic disease monitoring when required and within skill set
• Ensure accurate documentation, coding and completion of relevant templates
Requirements
• Registered Nurse with demonstrable Nurse Practitioner experience in primary care
• Confident management of acute presentations and urgent care pathways
• Prescribing qualification where required, or willingness to work within non prescribing scope
• Understanding of infection control, safeguarding and information governance
• Ability to work efficiently within appointment times while maintaining quality
• DBS and occupational health clearance as required by the placement
Working Pattern
• Up to 4 days per week available with flexibility for regular or last minute bookings
• Locum sessions offered as a block or single shifts depending on your preference
• Opportunity for ongoing work if you are looking for consistent weekly sessions
